Turning asphalt into gardens.
It all started in 1984 when two irascible Easthamers decided to dig up the asphalt at Hay and Route 6 and turn it into a garden. Today, EFFI volunteers maintain 22 islands across Eastham.
Volunteers make it all happen. From designing and preparing flower islands, to planting, to trimming and watering, EFFI volunteers beautify their environments, build community, and enjoy beautiful flowers.
EFFI is always looking for new and old volunteers! Volunteer or donate to support the flower islands near you.

Beautifying Cape Cod, one island at a time
The Islands
Each flower island is served by a dedicated team of up to 15 volunteers who plan, plant, and maintain each one.
Recycle and Donate

Our community funds EFFI through individual donations and volunteers who redeem recyclable cans and bottles at Orleans' Windmill Liquor and Fine Wines on 6a.
To participate, redeem recyclable materials yourself and donate the proceeds to EFFI, or drop off your clean and organized redeemable recyclables at any of the blue cans marked "EFFI" at the Eastham transfer station.
If you need additional assistance finding an EFFI can, redeeming your recyclables, or donating directly reach us at eastham.flowers@gmail.com.
EFFI is a 501(c)4 non-profit organization dedicated to beautifying the highways and byways of Eastham and Cape Cod.
